European Cities Against Child Poverty logo

What's working?

Over the course of the project, Network partners identified successful policies and projects in their cities which were actively working to address the problem of child poverty under five key themes: employment, education, health, housing and integrated policies.

This section contains key case studies under each theme where child poverty was effectively tackled. These case studies are intended to provide inspiration for policy-makers and practitioners; although the initiatives described in this section often build on unique local circumstances, various elements of interventions may indeed be transferable to other locations in the EU, or further afield.
